Are you really a professional organizer?

Since I opened up about my personal organizing business, I've been getting such an interesting mix of feedback! Here are just a few comments I've heard from friends, family, and even some random folks I've bumped into:

"You are such an organizer and planner; this is a perfect job for you!"

"Wow, I didn't know that was a thing!"

"Good for you!"

"How do you become a personal organizer?"

"I'm organized; I can do that too!"

"Are you charging people money?"

Let me tell you a little about myself! I am one of the most organized people I know. I absolutely love planning, making lists, organizing drawers and closets, and rearranging spaces. I even asked some friends and family their thoughts on the best word to describe me, and guess what? 9 out of 10 said organized and planned!

I've spent a lot of time in the insurance industry, with a short break to be a stay-at-home mom and help manage my husband's periodontal practice. In those roles, I was the chief operating officer of everything! I truly enjoyed it and am still a part-time insurance agent. But at this stage in my life, I realized it was time to follow my passion and do something I'm really good at.

So, to answer some of the questions I've been getting: yes, being a personal organizer is absolutely a "thing"! I've even taken a fantastic course called The KonMari Method, and let me tell you, it was life-changing. I can't wait to share more about it in future blogs! When people say "Good for you," I sometimes wonder if it's friendly or a bit snarky. But you know what? Thank you! Doing something you're passionate about is GOOD FOR YOU! Don't hide your talents; embrace them and let the world see what you can do!

Many of you are organized, but are you following a system that will work for your life? The KonMari Method has taught me how to manage my space to achieve my ideal lifestyle. Tidying up means addressing everything in your life, and I would love to share that journey with you. So please follow my Instagram and Facebook pages!
